イカット IKATTO

　インドネシア語で「くくる」を意味するイカットは日本でいう絣(かすり)のことです。イカットはバリ島周辺の島々で織られてるインドネシアの伝統的な織物です。バリ島のイカットは先住民族バリ・アガの伝統的なものであり、縦、横の両方の糸に模様を染めこんで織っていくグリンシンと呼ばれる技法で織られています。グリンシン技法は労力と時間がかかる非常に高度なものであり、その技法を持っているのは世界でも日本とインドと、バリ島の３ヶ所です。

ガムランボール gamelan ball

　「ガムラン」とはバリ島で古くから宗教儀式の際、神に捧げる音楽を奏でるものとして欠かすことの出来ない青銅製の楽器のことです。バリ島の伝統音楽「ガムラン」を奏でる楽器と同じ材料を使い、その音色を真鍮のボールに封じ込め再現させたものが「ガムランボール」です。
　バリ島では自然の神聖なものすべてに神が宿っているとされてます。「ガムランボール」の丸い形は月を表しているそうで、その神秘的な力で何か願い事が叶うかも知れませんね。

"Gamelan" is a musical instrument made from bronze it is a musical instrument indispensable as what plays the music offered to God in Bali Island for many years in the case of a religious rite. The thing which used the same material as the musical instrument which plays the traditional music "gamelan" of Bali Island, and made the ball of silver confine and reproduce the tone is a "gamelan ball." In Bali Island, it is supposed that God is dwelling in all natural sacred things. the round form of the "gamelan ball" expresses the moonthat is right the mystical power some the wish.

バリ島のお面ランダ Field Randa of Bali Island

　バリ島の雑貨屋でよく見かけるのが「聖獣バロン」と「魔女ランダ」が戦うバロンダンスで有名な「聖獣バロン」と「魔女ランダ」のお面です。バリ島では「善」と「悪」は表裏一体であり、バロンダンスのストーリーも、結局最後に誰が勝つかというのではなく、この世界には善と悪が存在するということだけを表現しているそうです。このランダは、生活に密着した神様でもありバリ島のどの村でも、ランダの面が大切にされています。他にもレゴンダンスやケチャ、ヒンズー教の神様などが題材になっている木彫りが多いです。

ラタン小物入れ Rattan accessory case

　バリ島のラタンと木で出来た小物入れです。
　現地のレストランでは、少し大きめのサイズですと、ご飯を入れて出してくれるところもあります。脚部分が木で出来ており、私はタバコ入れとして使用しております。小物入れとしてだけでなく、小さな鉢植えを入れたり、キッチン用品としてお使いいただいてもいいと思います。写真の小物入れのサイズは高さ約８センチ、幅約１０センチほどです。色や質感がそれぞれ異なり手作りの為、オススメです！！

The amount of leg is made ofThurs., and I am using it as a tobacco pouch. I think that a small potted plant may be put in only as an accessory case, or you may use as a kitchen article. The sizes of the accessory case of a photograph are a height of about 8cm, and about 10cm . Since a color and textures are difference handmade, respectively, it is recommendation!!

バリ島でのお買い物 Shopping in Bali Island

　写真は先日紹介しましたマタハリデパートの店内です。
　バリ島のデパートでは値札があり安心して買い物をして頂ける一方、通常の市場では商品に定価がなく、売主との価格交渉によって値段が決まるため、商品には値札がついていないことが多いです。
　私が前回バリ旅行に行ったときに現地の友人が日本人はオシャレなので服装から日本人だと判断すると話しておりました。実際、市場で価格交渉をすると日本人であるせいか適正価格よりも高い値段を提示されたことが結構ありました。その為、これから旅行をされる方は前もって自分が納得のいく価格を決めて交渉することをオススメします。金額が折り合った時点で交渉成立になりますが、その後のキャンセルや更に値切ることはルール違反になるそうなので気をつけましょう！！

絵画 Pictures

今回紹介させて頂く小物というより絵画になりますが、バリ絵画で人気No.1のプンコセカン(バリ花鳥画)・スタイルです。これはヒロシさんから頂いたものです。熱帯の植物にカラフルな鳥の組み合わせは絵画ですが、実は日本の花鳥風月画に影響を受けたと言われております。バリ島には他にもモダン・アートや写真を中心とした絵画等があります。

This is obtained from Mr. HIROSHI. Although the combination of a bird colorful for a tropical plant is pictures, it is said that influence was received in beauties-of-nature drawing of Japan in fact. There are the modern art, other pictures centering on a photograph, etc. in Bali Island.
